President Kennedy is shown the photographs; it is proven that Soviet missiles were in Cuba.

USA's allies are informed about the missiles, shortly before the public finds out.

Quarantine of Cuba is announced; Americans state that they would stop and search all ships going to Cuba.

Khrushchev writes letter to Kennedy; it says that USSR would withdraw the missiles if USA promises not to invade Cuba.

Khrushchev writes another letter; this time stating that they will only remove their missiles from Cuba if the American missiles are removed from Turkey.

Robert Kennedy (President's brother), goes to meet the Soviet Ambassador; makes deal saying that they will remove the missiles from Turkey, but it would remain a secret from the public.

Soviet Ambassador reports back to R. Kennedy; announces that Russians would remove missiles from Cuba.
