1918 - Hitler = soldier
Hitler becomes a soldier in WW1 and Germany surrenders whilst he is in hospital recovering from a gas attack- he felt betreayed and angry.

1919- Hitler came back to Germany
when he came back, he was asked to spy on some extremist groups, but when attending a meeting of one of these groups, he became so intrigued that he joined.

1920 - Hitler became more involved with the party
He renamed it the Nation Socialist German Workers Party (nazis). Hitler declared a Twenty Five Point Programme outlinin gtheir beliefs.

Hitler spoke well in public and became the leader of the party

The Nazis had 55,000 members but were still seen as a marginal political party.
