The cell cycle

?
Describe DNA replication.
Starts at ori. two replication forks. takes about 40 mins. Multifork replication (prokaryotes) so at least one round of DNA replication is complete before cytokinesis.
1 of 6
Describe binary fission.
How prokaryotes divide. DNA becomes attached to membrane, cell enlarges, spetum forms, cell divides.
2 of 6
Describe cytokinesis
TAkes about 20 mins, FtsZ distributed evenly but forms ring of protein around septum. contracts until two cells.
3 of 6
What happens in the cycle cycle of eukaryotes.?
g1 -grothw phase, S phase- DNA replication -conhesin with kleisin forms around sister chromatids. ensure they don't drifts apart. G2 M .
4 of 6
Mitosis.
1.Chromosome condense. DNA loops caused by condensin. with a CAP at one side. 2.Mitotic spindles form. Kleisin subunit is cleaved by a protease.
5 of 6
What happens in plants?
cell wall forms instead of contractile ring which partitions cytoplasm. Guided by phramoplast, which contains microtubules where vesicles are transported.
