What is DNA?
Large molecule- contains all the information required to create a functioning individual organism

What are chromosomes?
DNA molecule that is dividied up into sections

How is information stored?
In the form of genes

What are homologous pairs?
Chromosomes that are found in animals as matching pairs

Do the pairs consist of one chromosome from each parent?
Yes - they contain genes for the same feature e.g. eye colour

In order for the body to grow and repair itself what is required?
Cells of the body must be able to reproduce themselves

What are the two ways cells reproduce themselves?
Meiosis and mitosis
