What does the Cerebral Cortex do?
The cerebral cortex is concerned with consciousness, intelligence, memory and language.

The cerebellum is concerned mainly with the coordination of muscular activity's.

The medulla is concerned with unconscious activity's (ie heartbeat or breathing).`

The Pituitary gland produces hormones (ie ADH), and is linked to the brain.

How can the regions of the brain be mapped to their functions?
BY: Studying patients with brain damage / Electrically stimulating different parts of the brain / using MRI scanning techniques to monitor brain activity after injury or when completing a task.
