This is an uncertainty of law, in Errington v Errington [1952] a father tried to terminate a contract with his daughter for her to own the house if she paid the mortgage after she had started, wasn't allowed to.

Yes- in Luxon (Eastbourne) Ltd v Cooper [1941], the court held that claimant was entitled to commission on introducing the buyers of the cinema when the defendants refused to sell
