Teechers is a physical multiroling classroom comedy. 3 year 11 students putting on a play about their teachers.

Needed to create a set that is movable, allows for physical space.

I then made my model. Was going to use 1cm=25 cm but now 1 cm= 10cm as it was too small.

1st stage- measure elements of design with tape measure+ scaling down, divide by 10

Made stage out of cardboard- created a border so it would stand up. Paint black with sponge.

Chairs- frames+ legs out of wire- used wire cutters. Seat and back- cardboard. Painted blue.

Joined them together with glue gun.

Created wings out of cardboard, painted black, used glue gun.

Created stairs at the front of the stage. Used cardboard, painted black and grey, used glue gun.

Created tables: wire legs, cardboard tops.

Whiteboard- cardboard, wire, glue gun/ soludering. Then clock.

Soldering: heat iron, coat tip with the solder, heat surfaces to be joined with the tip, melt solder onto the surfaces to make a join, allow to cool.

Added black/white board- hint audience- setting, timeperiod.

Then backg- painted white. To make straight- cut wire hanger in half, made L shape, attached to bottom of stage and back of background with gaffer tape.

Check everything and add details- grafiti- inspiration from physics tables + whitebd knackers.

Model problems- getting scale wrong, glueing wrong bits of chairs together, soldering- without picture.. Fixed most problems.

Set changes- no blackout- ruin pace. Therefore, audience distracted with direct adress.

Health and safety- drop furniture on feet, fall off table. To avoid- practice.

Think set works well with piece, actors and lighting. Achieved through communication- our groups weakness- miss communication of position of whiteboard.
