The results collected from this investigation should be accurate. Explain what is meant by accurate results.
Accurate results should be near to the true value and have few errors in making measurements.

Explain the link between a very small mean value and inaccurate results.
Problem of measuring small values accurately as there will be time delays in operating a stops watch. The error will be a greater proportion of a small value.

Describe and explain the relationship between standard deviation and the reliability of results.
The greater the standard deviation the less reliable the results are as the greater the spread around the mean. overlap of standard deviation indicates the means may not be significantly different.

Repeat measurments makes the mean more reliable and also allows anomalies to be identifed and minimises the effects of them. Also to get concordant results.

IT may be more accurate as there is a smaller percentage error and less effect from stopping and starting the timer.

Gas syringes at a fast rate of reaction are moving and the exact position can be difficult to determine.

Colour is subjective and introduces human error. This can be improved by having a standard to compare.

There are errors in reaction time when stopping and starting a stopwatch. Errors are also more significant with shorter times.
