You have been asked as a sociologist to investigate pupil behaviour in British schools. Identify a primary research method that you could use and explain why it would be a good method for your investigation.(4marks)
One primary research method that could be used is postal quetionnare,this is when the researcher sends questionnare to the respondant to fill in and send back to the researcher.This is quick to distribute,the reseacher can send to more than 1 peson.

One sampling method that could be used is stratifed sampling as it involves picking people from different groups within a population. It is better than random sampling as it is repisentitive of the population.

Material deprivation is used to refer to someone who is who doesn't have money of facilities compared to the rest of society,e.g.in the 1980 smeone withought a car is not seen as suffering however in 2days society they could be seen like that.

Domestic division of labour refers to the role that men and woman play in relation to houswork, these roles should be fulfilled by both couples in the family.

Describe the functionalist approach to the family and explain how it differs from one other sociological approach. (5 marks)
The functionalist approach view the nuclear family as a positive part to society as it plays important roles. however the marxist disagree, they believe the nuclear family maintains the capitalist system which supplys future generation of workers.
