A model which explains the structure of society, and how it can be used to overthrow capitalism

According to Structural Determinism, capitalist society has 3 levels, what are they?
1)Economic - all the activities that produce something 2)Political level -all organisations 3) Ideological level - involves the way people see themselves and their world

How does Althusser's Structural model differ from Marx's base-superstructure model?
In Althusser's, the political and ideological levels have relative autonomy from the economic level. They are not a mere reflection of it and can even affect what happens to the economy

How does the sate provide ideological functions?
Through the repressive (armed bodies of men) and ideological sate (media, education, religion etc.) apparatuses.

Because of a crisis of capitalism, resulting in over-determination

The contradictions of the three structures that occur relatively independently of each other, resulting in the collapse of the system as a whole
