Evans Et Al found that stress can sometimes be a good thing so the conclusions drawn from the research is mixed, the studies generalise too much the effects of stress on 'everyone' (women are more effected and old people get more ill)

Evans looked at levels of sIgA in students when doing a speech, he found that during chronic stress there were low levels of sIgA but with acute there were higher levels which is good for the immmune system
