Fred Perry
Fred Perry was the greatest UK tennis player of the twentieth century who won Wimbledon three years in a row (1934-1936). He was the World No. 1 in Tennis for 4 Years and the first player to win all four Grand Slam singles titles.

He is described as the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He set the record in 1938 for the highest individual innings in a Test match, scoring 364 runs against Australia. He was also England's first professional captain (from 1952 to 1955).

Gareth Edwards is a Welsh Rugby player who played scrum-half during the 1960s and 1970s.His try against the Barbarians in 1973 has been hailed as the greatest try ever. He was awarded the CBE in 2007 for his services to sport.

Mary is the first British woman to win a gold medal in athletics (1964 Tokyo Olympics). The only woman to win three medals in a single Olympic Games (Gold - Long Jump, Silver - Pentathlon, Bronze - 100m relay). Voted BBC Sports Personality (1964).

Tanni Grey-Thompson
Tanni is considered to be one of the most successful disabled athletes in the UK who won 16 medals (11 Gold) at the Paralympic Games. She held 30 world records and won the London Marathon six times (between 1992 and 2002). Awarded MBE, OBE and Dame.
