What is an auxiliary verb?
A word that comes after a noun. There are only two auxiliary verbs; have & has.

A conjunction that joins two main clauses together.

What is a subordinating conjunction?
A conjunction that joins one main clause and one subordinate clause together.

A word that describes a verb.

Does a prefix come first or last?
A prefix comes first.

Does the suffix go first or last?
A suffix comes last.

What is perfect present?
A sentence that is in the present tense and has an auxiliary verb.

How do you use a hyphen?
By selecting two words and throwing in a hyphen to turn it into one word.

What are colons used for?
To show the beginning of a list.

What is past participle?
It's the same thing as present perfect.

What is a determiner?
A word that determines a noun, e.g. I had a few sweets. The determiner is few.

What are fronted adverbials?
A word or a phrase that comes at the beginning of a sentence, e.g. As fast as I could, I ran to the finish line. The fronted adverbial is 'as fast as I could.

What is past progressive?
When, in the sentence, a past tense word is used and the verb is present tense, e.g. I was jumping. 'Was' is in the past tense and 'jumping' is in the present tense

What is an adverbial phrase?
It's a phrase in a sentence what the adverb is describing, e.g. The builders built the house joyfully. 'Built the house joyfully' is the adverbial phrase.
