What are the 3 states of matter?
Gases, Solids, Liquid
1 of 5
Paricle theory
The particles is a substance stay the same whether its a solid, liquid or a gas. What changes is the arrangement of particles & their energy. Solids have the least energy, Liquid have more energy, Gas have the most energy.
2 of 5
Solids
Solids have a definite volume. Solids have a definite shape. Solids usually have high density (Heavy for their size). Solids are not easily squashed. Solids don't flow.
3 of 5
Liquids
Liquids have a deinite volume. Liquids match the shape of the container. Liquids usually have medium density. Liquids are not easily squashed. Liquids flow easily.
4 of 5
Gases
Gases have no definite volume, they always fill the container they are in. Gases become the same shape as the container. Gases have a very low density. Gases are easily squashed. Gases flow easily.
