Ideology
an ideology is a belief or viewpoint that explains how society is like, how it should be and a strategy on how to change it.

looking at society as a whole e.g Functionalism, Marxism and Feminism

looking at the smaller units of society e.g.Sociol Action theory.

Organic Analogy
like the human body. society has different groups and organisations who are like organs. These 'organs' play a part in society. E.g. School prepares children for employment

Feminism
A view that gender is the most important divison in society. Arguing that females are treated unfairly.

Patriarchy
Sociol system that upholds male dominancy in society/

Radical Feminism
They see all men as opposing, they will activily challenge patriarchy.

Liberal Feminism
They focus on the legal restrictions. They try to change the laws regarding female inequality.
