Roles
Parts we play in society. For example: A boy can be a son, friend or boyfriend all at once.

When you can't do every role at once- so the roles conflict with one another.

A culture within a culture. For example: hippies.

Culture
Culture means the beliefs and ideas or ways of life that people have and this could be controlled through norms and values.

This is the differences and individualities that each culture has.

Stereotype
A generalised and simplistic view of a group of people which ignores individual differences. For example: Boys like blue and girls like pink.

The way of acting in a way that society deems typically male.

Controlling people using informal/formal methods in everyday situations.

Women have three jobs as a parent- they must work, handle the emotional burden (children) and do housework

Molding people into boys or girls. For example: Give the boys cars and give the girls Barbies.

Glass ceiling
This is a point in the promotional ladder where women are allowed no higher as work bosses believe that women will not do their jobs sufficiently due to having children.
