Give a key feature about the nobles and their duty in society? How important were they?
There were about 100 key nobles who played significant roles wherever they owned land. They were expected tbat maintain order as well as assisting the queen during war. Some really important noble families were able to attend court. (Important)

lesser nobles, knights and lawyers whom helped to run the local government as judges and sheriffs.(Important)

Centre of all political powers, and her chief advisers as well as her government officials, they all attended court. Elizabeth was able to choose her Privy council out of those people who attended court. (Important)

A growing class of people who were quite wealthy and helped to run the local government. They were part of the House of commons. (Quite important)

Large class whom owned land and were quite wealthy. Many of them had servants and they could vote in elections to the parliament if they were able to prove about their ownership of land.(Quite important)

A committee of 19 leading ministers (nobles) who had great power and were able to help the government: they were appointed to give advice to the queen when they met during a day of the week. (Important)

What is Parliament?
The representative law-making body consisting of the monarch, the house of Lords and the house of Commons.

What was the house of Commons?
This was the lower house of parliament which involved 450 MPs who were elected by wealthy landowners. (Mostly merchants, gentlemen and lawyers)

Who were at the bottom base of the hierarchy?
Craftspeople: Labourers, servants and the poor and these people had no say on how to run the country. Labourers could easily become destitute due to bad harvest, trading slumps or illness. In town they worked in trades like textiles/ agriculture
