What is a key IDA point?
The theory is determinist, it suggests that simply the environment shapes peoples gender roles. for example the women in the Mungudugumor community, it states their behaviour is a result of the men being away a lot = more aggressive behaviour.

they managed to collect extensive data from various cultures which increases the external validity.

they could result in culturally bias results, if the behaviours are misinterpretted and where the data is not analysed objectively.
