Christian Ceremony
This is a religious marriage ceremony which contains a welcome, hymns, vows, exchanges of rings, prayers and sign register.

A non-religious ceremony which is often shorter and have no mention of God. Also they take place in places such as hotels because they are not religious or have had a previous divorce so cannot.

Roman Catholic church views on divorce
They are always against divorce as marriage is a lifelong commitment. They allow a marriage to be annulled if the marriage is recognised as invalid (forced).

Church of England views on divorce
They are against divorce however recognise some exceptions so it is sometimes allowed. Marriage should be for life but some people make mistakes and it could be seen as the lesser of two evils.

Methodist
They have a more flexible view as some people make mistakes and should be allowed a second chance like Jesus showed compassion.

This is where couples live together but are not married.

Women in church - Roman Catholics
They do not allow women to become priests or leaders because Jesus had all men disciples so if he wanted them to lead he would have included women.

They do allow women to become priests. They do this because of 'Christ is all, Christ is in all.' They believe the church needs to move with the modern society.

He was a Christian who peacefully campaigned against the racist system of apartheid in South Africa. He gave speeches and helped with the release of Nelson Mandela.
