A line test where confederates were told to give incorrect answers, and found that most participants conformed to the incorrect answer. Conformity increased when the question was harder

What did Zimbardo's study consist of?
Mock prisons with students randomly assigned as guards or prisoners. The guards became brutal and the prisoners were increasingly withdrawn and depressed. The participants conformed to their roles

What did Milgram's study into obedience consist of?
Participants gave fake electric shocks to a 'learner' in obedience to instructions from the 'experimenter'. 65% gave the highest shock of 450v & 100% gave shocks up to 300v.
