1552 a new poor law passedd, masde it easier for the parish and town authorities to support the aged/crippled. Enclosure commissions withdrawn. Revaluation of the coinage stopped inflation and reduced prices.

What was the Vagrancy Act?
Attack on vagrants who were looking for work. Seen by the government as a cause of riots. Any able-bodied person ouy of work for more than 3 days: sold into slavery for two years. Child of vagrants taken and set to work as apprentices.

Proposed housing and colelctions for the disabled.

What did the government blame their economic problems on?
Enclosure, fencing of common land for sheep pasture. Rich people took this land, largely affected husbandmen and cottagers: evicted from their homes- inflation and unemployment.
