it will be cleaning up the slums and moving residents into new houshing areas.

How many has it resettled so far and what amenities does it come with?
100,000 (17,500 residential households). 18,000 shops and 100 community and cultural properties and 39 schools have been built. The residents get the own home as 95% don't own the land they live on.

What are the Incremental Housing Strategies going to do?
develop informal slums into permanent residential areas where families are given the right to the land their new home is built upon. Support the ideas of locals.

the flats have 14ft high ceilings and toilets are placed at the end of each floor.

What is the Slum Rehabilitation Authority Plan going to do?
create blocks of flats for the slum dwellers move into where people will be registered with the authorities and pay taxes which will add extra services.

Clean water with no more queues and sewage pipes. allows for waste management (people lose jobs as sorting rubbish), very small and cost £2 billion.

What is the Mumbai Slum Electrification Project going to do?
Provide electricity to the slums. Many instead use bottled gas for cooking and heating which can implement health.

Recently provided 10,000 slum dwellers with new/ upgraded electricity connections, allows for working/ education at night. Only affects 15%.

What is the Mumbai Slum Sanitation Project going to do?
build gendered toilets for slum dwellers.

Over 300 community toilet blocks have been built (5100 individual ). Affect up to 1 million slum dwellers.
