There are two parts to your Skeletal system these are your Axial Skeleton & Appendicular Skeleton. The axial skeleton is the part of the skeleton that consists of the bones of the head and trunk of a vertebrate.

There are three main uses of the skeletal system within our body. Support- holds vital organs in place when doing activities and keeps it at an upright position.
Shape- Gives shape to the body and makes you tall or short. Protection- the cranium and ribs protect the brain and vital organs in the chest.
