Intimate searches
Section 55 PACE - the search of a person's body orifice other than the mouth; must be authorised by a high-ranking officer; used for finding items that the suspect could physically harm themselves with AND class A drugs (doctor or nurse ONLY)

Section 54 PACE - automatic right of the police; the custody officer must record and confiscate any items when the suspect first arrives

Code of Practice C - must be done by officer of same sex with no member of opposite sex present; cameras must be covered; suspect cannot be fully naked at any one time (females given robe or similar garment, males have to have top half covered)
