They are chem icals released directly into your blood. Carried in the blood plasma to different parts of your body and only effect targeted cells.

In various glands: Pituitary gland and ovaries(females)

What does the pituitary gland produce?
FSH and LH, these are all involved in the menstural cycle.

Different between nerves and hormones?
nerves are very fast and hormones are a lower action. Nerves act for a short amout of time where as hormones act for a long time.

what does FSH do?
casues the egg to mature in the ovaries and it stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen.

What does LH do?
Releases the egg in a girls period

what does oestrogen do?
Causes the prituitary gland to prdouce LH and the further release of FSH.
