- studied the effectiveness of the therapy - significantly reduce the severity of symptoms - suggesting the effectiveness of CBT in the reduction of symptoms

- similar results and assessed current practices and data on CBT and found it was highly effective - suggests this should be used as a mainstream treatment

- Studies have shown that CBT is the best treatment with the use of antipsychotic drugs - training for therapists = essential - ashiz is a huge disorder, effects every one differently, isnt ideal for everyone - develop coping methods

- schiz = maladaptive, can be learnt - using reinforcements to get the desired behaviour, normaly used for long term institution, good to help reduce negative symptoms e.g. low motivation

- if tokens are removed the behaviours do not continue, only treats the symptoms not the cause - other factors, the nurses percieve that they are making the change and are therefor more motivated to help improve patients - Gender bias, only males

- reductionist - ignore biological such as genetic link - app - effective treatment plan - combination treatments - takes into account individual differences treatments are tailored to the patients
