“The consul recently came to Teanum Sidicinum. His wife said herself that she wished to bathe in the men's baths. The business was given to Marcus Marius, the quaestor of Sidicinum, to send away those who were bathing from the baths.

The wife told her husband that the baths were not given up to her soon enough and that they were not sufficiently clean. Therefore a stake was planted in the forum and Marcus Marius, the most illustrious man of his own city, was led to it.
