Why do some Christians only use the bible to make moral decisions?
The Bible teaches us how Jesus responded to situations and therefore we should respond in the same way. The Bible gives us the 10 commandments which are said to be the ultimate rule. All scripture is inspired by God and so should be followed.

Why do some Christians only use the church to make moral decisions?
The church speaks for God on earth and christians teach that we should listen to God. Church leaders follow the footsteps of God so asking them is like asking God.

Why do some Christians only use their conscience to make moral decisions?
The conscience is said to be Gods voice and we are taught to listen to God as a duty and the church teaches to listen to our conscience. The conscience is always with you and tells you what is right and wrong so will lead you to the right decision.

Why do some Christians only use situation ethics to make moral decisions?
It allows them o follow the golden rule. It introduces flexibility, allowing you to adapt biblical morals to a changing society. It shows you love your neighbour.

What is the authority of the church for Christians?
The Church has authority because Church leaders are in the best position to say what the Bible means for today, and they always give guidance on moral issues.

What is the role of the conscience for Christians?
Conscience is the inner feeling that makes people think something is right or wrong. Many Christians think conscience is the way God speaks to Christians today and so is the main guide for making moral decisions.

What is situation ethics?
Situation ethics is doing the most loving thing in that situation.

Why do some Christians use a variety of authorities when making moral decisions?
Christians use a variety of authorities because one may be unreliable, on may not answer your moral issue and you may need more than one opinion.

What are the human rights in the UK?
All human beings are born free, in dignity and rights. They are given with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Why are human rights important for Christians?
They believe in the Sanctity of Life, meaning that life belongs to God, so we all have a right to life. They believe humans are made in God’s image. The Golden Rule supports Human Rights. Christians want to be free to practice their faith.

Why is it important to take part in democratic and electoral processes?
National government decides how to run things like the health service & school system  Local government is responsible for things which affect our daily lives like roads, dustbin collection, etc.

What is the golden rule?
The Golden Rule is the teaching of Jesus that you should treat others as you would like them to treat you.

What is the parable of the sheep and the goats?
The Parable of the Sheep and Goats which says that Christians should help the homeless, the sick and the hungry.

What is the Christian teaching of 'am i my brothers keeper?'
The story of Cain and Abel which tells Christians that they are responsible for the rights of others.

What are Christian views for genetic engineering and cloning?
Jesus was a healer and Christians should follow the example of Jesus. It can help improve the quality of lives and life is precious and should be looked after. God says we should look after and protect the environment and do the same for humans.

What are Christian attitudes against genetic engineering and cloning?
God has created everyone in his own image so humans shouldn't mess with God’s creation. Embryos are humans, they shouldn't be messed with. It's playing God and this is a sin.
