What is Global Warming?
The temperature of the earth going up. Also known as climate change.

What do scientists think is causing climate change mostly?
The burning of fossil fuels by humans. This increases the levels of greenhouse gases such as CO2 in the atmosphere.

What do other scientists think global warming is?
Just a natural event as they think the evidence is not convicing.

What are the four types of pollution?
Land, air, waste and water.

What is waste pollution?
Old technology (does not break down). Waste takes up space, spreads disease and releases dangerous chemicals.

What is land pollution?
Dropping of litter although the most dangerous is radioactive waste. Causes health problems living things and lowers soil fertility stopping it from growing crops.

What is air pollution?
when subatances or chemicals effect the natural balance in the air. Causes acid rain which harms soil, water and all forms of life. Also causes smog which cause breathing problems for living things.

What is water pollution?
Contamination of sources of water by chemicals or other matter.

What are the renewable resources?
Wind power, solar power, wave power, water power, fertile land, wood.

What are the non-renewable resources?
Coal, gas, oil, minerals and rocks.

What is conservation?
It is concerned with the preserving of the earths natural resources so future generarions can enjoy it too.
