• Power to ensure that employers monitor the way in which they recruit, select and train the composition of their workplace. • Investigate any employer at any time necessary • Issue directions on measures which must be taken by employers

What is a fair employment tribunal?
1. It decides on individual cases of discrimination and has power to award finances 2. It hears appeals against directions of the Equality Commission and has powers to take steps to force employers to comply and can impose fines on them if necessary
