What is Hydraulic Action at Coasts?
When waves crash against rocks and compress the air in the cracks, putting pressure on the rocks

What is corrosion at coasts?
When slat and other things dissolved in the sea water corrode the rocks, making them weaker

What are Destructive waves like?
They occur when there is a steep gradient. They are large in height / have lots of energy / have a weak swash and strong backwash

They occur at a shallow gradient. They are small in height / have less energy / have a strong swash and weak backwash

When waves coming into the beach from an angle, due to the direction of the prevailing wind, move material along a beach and coastline

A beach/***** of land which has been formed by deposition and joins two headlands together, with a lagoon behind it

Spits are bands of sand or deposited materials which forms at a sharp bend on a coastline
