Area affected was in the region of the West coast of England next to the River Severn and three counties Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Shropshire.

3600 homes were without power. 9000 businesses were affected as there were loses of 23%. Due to infrastructure and damaged roads, 14 people lost their lives in Gloucestershire. Farmers lost crops worth £50 million - had to start again from scratch
