It's ok to be wealthy as long as it's from lawful means. It's how you use your wealth that's important-should be used to help others/the less fortunate. Striving for money takes your attention away from money.

The Parable of The Rich Fool- Rich man kept building bigger and bigger barns to keep his grain and wealth to himself. The he died and didn't get to enjoy his riches.message-don't be greedy and selfish, share your wealth and possessions.

He helped the poor ad marginalised in socety eg the lepers. Jesus told a rich man to go and sell all he has and give the proceeds to the poor.
