What does reliability mean?
it means the consistency of the results, this refers to the replicability and consistency of a study.

this is when the research rejects the null hypothesis when they shouldnt have done.

it is the ability to check and verify scientific information, if it is possible to carry out the research again and find the same or similar results then the research is considered replicable.

it considers whether the study is really testing what it claims. Such as the IV is causing the DV to change rather than other extraneous variables.

It involves the scrutiny and checking of research by independant experts. It is a process which acts to validate new knowledge.
