KEY TERMS AND DEFINITIONS.
Absolute morality: The belief that if an action is right or wrong, it is always wrong no matter the circumstances.

Relative morality: The belief that an action can sometimes be wrong but in other circumstances it can be right.
sanctity of life: Life is precious, it is a gift from God.

Saviour siblings: Children who are born for the purpose of donating some of their stem cells to an existing brother or sister.
Stem cells: Cells that have the ability to grow into specific cells in the body that can be used to prevent/cure illness and disease.

Human embryology: The study of human embryos to gain knowledge about unborn children/foetus'.
Cloning: Making an identical individual by genetically copying another.

Embryo cloning: A cell is taken form an adult and inplanted into a new egg then a genetically identical embryo is made.
Therapeutic cloning: Same as before but for the purpose of extracing stem cells for treatment.

Fertility treatment: Treatment to increase fertility.
IVF(In Vitro Fertilisation): A selection of a woman's eggs sperm of partner/donor are brought together in a glass container and then place back into woman's womb. Children born from IVF are also known as Test Tube Babies.

AIH/D(Artificial Insemination by Husband/Donor): Artificially placing a man's semen into the woman's womb. This helps if the man has a low sperm count.
Surrogacy: A woman carries a baby for another woman and gives birth to it for the couple. This is often done through one of the above mathods.
