God created everything in Heaven and Earth in 6 days, on the 7th he rested, Adam made from dust and Eve from his rib, God created everything with purpose, humans are different from other creatures

What does literalist view mean?
Some hold the views that everything happened exactly as described in the Bible

What does non-literalist view mean?
The story is not a literal account but contains important truths ie that God did create the world, using natural processes, over a period of time

What is the scientific view of the creation story?
The story is entirely mythical but describes what the writers believed to be true, scientific knowledge and discovery show the ideas of creation to be unacceptable

What is the big bang theory?
A scientific explanation of the creation of the universe (explosion of matter) is accepted by many Christians who also believe God caused the bang

What is the theory of evolution?
Suggests species evolved over time through natural selection and survival of the fittest. Some Christians believe God established the process of natural selection. the theory does not explain the origins of the first life forms

Allah made heaven, earth, all its creations and the angels, angels brought 7 handfuls of earth which Adam and Eve were made from, they lived in Paradise but punished after eating one fruit, humans are khalifahs and expected to follow shariah law

We are stewards which means we have to look after the world, guard it for the real owner, God given responsibility

What does Islam think about the roles of humans in the world?
Allah created everything and its creatures, Khalifah, keep the natural balance (fitrah), on the day of judgement will answer to Allah on how theyve treated the earth
