Commitment
Making and keeping a promise, such as wedding vows.

Chastity
Decision not to have sex before marriage, for example, because it is believed sex is sacred.

Conflict
Working against each other other rather than being united. Conflict in marriages can lead to divorce.

Love
To have a deep affection and express it through words and actions.

Reconciliation
Apoligies or say sorry, and become friends again. Many faith communities have reconciliation services.

Responsibilities
Duties you should carry out, such as looking after family members.

Authority
Right or power over others. It may be a person such as a priest, a set of laws, or the teachings from a sacred text.

Discrimination
Treating people differently because of their race, gender, religion or class. Religious believers would say it is wrong as everyone is part of God's creation.

Equality
Being treated the same. Many religious beliefs would say all people are equal in God's eyes.

Identity
The personality and character of an individual. Each person has their own identity and is unique.

Injustice
Withholding someone's human rights, for example, imprisonment without trial.

Prejudice
When a person is judged without any evidence. All religious tradition agree that people should treat others as they wish to be treated.

God
Ultimate Being (creator and sustainer of the world).

Symbolism
Something that explains something else. Religions have many symbolic actions and ideas.

Revelation
Something shown or explained that was previously hidden.

Awe
Completely overwhelmed by a sense of God's presence.

Community
A group of people with something in common, e.g. sharing the same faith.

Afterlife
The belief in life after death. Most relgions believe in heaven or reincarnation.

Creation
Making something deliberately, for a purpose. Most religions teach that the world was created by God for a purpose.

Dominion
Being in charge of the world for God. Some relgions teach that God gave them a responsibility to manage the world.

Environment
The habitat in which we live in.

Humanity
Caring for other human beings. Most religions teach that we should care for one another.

Soul
That part of humans lives on after death.

Stewardship
To look after something on behalf of its real owner. Most religions teach that we are stewards of the world.
