What is worship?
Worship is giving time and honour to God.

Many Christians worship in private but they also appreciate the need to come together as a community.

What is the Church?
Simply a meeting place for the Church.

What are the different opinions on a Church building?
Church buildings should be simple and functional. Others think it is the house of God so it should be impressive.

What are the exterior features of a RC Church?
Church buildings are taller than the surrounding buildings. Many have towers or steeples to help the Church stand out from other buildings. Towers or steeples represent prayer rising up to heaven.

What are the interior features of a RC Church?
At the entrance, there is holy water stoups, containing water which is blessed by the priest.

Why do the RC Church use holy water stoups?
Remind them of their baptism and that they are entering the presence of God.

More interior features?
Lectern is a stand that the liturgy of the word is read from. Statues remind us of the friends we have in heaven called saints. These are good people who loved God.
