Community cohesion
The bonds holding a community together, e.g. shared values, shared culture.

Treating people, or groups of people, differently (usually unfairly).

Ethnic minority
A group of people who have a different ethnic background from most of the population.

Multi-ethnic society
A society with members from several different national or cultural backgrounds.

A society with members from several different faiths.

Prejudice
Judging something or someone with no good reason, or without full knowledge of a situation.

People of different races living and working together in peace.

Racism
Discrimination against people of other races - often based on unfair stereotypes.

Religious freedom
The freedom of a person or community to openly practise and teach their religion, to change religion or to not follow a religion at all. Many societies consider this a fundamental human right.

Accepting that more than one religious viewpoint is valid, and that every faith has as much right to exist as any other.

Interfaith marriages
Marriages in which the bride and groom follow different faiths.
