Changing attitudes to the role of men and women in the UK.
Women used to stay at home and look after the children. Eventually women gained rights to receive the same amount of pay as men and voting in elections. Sexism reduced although women are still more likely to do housework. (Adam created before Eve)

TRADITIONAL: Men and women do not have equal rights. Women should not speak in Church and only men can be church leaders. MODERN: Men and women equal rights. Women priests allowed. CATHOLIC: Men and women should have equal rights not in church.

Parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus treated people equally, St Peter and St Paul taught all races are equal. About 70% of Christians are non-white.

Islam and Racial Harmony.
The Qur`an teached that Allah created the whole of humanity from one pair of humans, Muhammad said that there should be no racism, Islam teaches that all Muslims form a brotherhood.

Bringing up children.
Sometimes parents follow different religions and beliefs. Children should have freedom to choose their religion.

Interfaith Marriages
When people of different faiths get married. Problems> religious ceremony, children's religion, will the couple stay together after death, relatives may feel betrayed.
