What two methods can be used to assess reliability?
Split-half method and Test-retest method.
5 of 12
Describe the split-half method.
Used to assess internal reliability. Where results are split in half and the two halves are correlated against on another. If there is positive correlation then there is internal reliability.
6 of 12
Describe the test-retest method.
Used to assess external reliability. Where research is conducted and then repeated again on a separate occasion. The two sets of results are then correlated with one another. If there is positive correlation then there is external reliability.
