What is MBR?
MBR stands for memory buffer register. This stores data being transferred to and from the main memory.

MAR stands for memory address register. This is a register that stores the memory address from which data wwill be fetched to the CPU, or the address to which the data will be sent.

PC stands for program counter. This contains the address of an instructuon to be executed next.

General purpose registers are used to store data temporarily according to their size.
