It encourages use to believe by showing Jesus' immense power over all things and gives us hope that God will help us even if we doubt our faith sometimes- even the disceples did this, it is natural human instinct when faced with a difficult situation

Why did the Jews not like the Romans?
They were polytheist, they ate meat which the Jews were forbidden to eat, they had taken control of the Jewish promise land and they forced them to pay taxes so they could remain on the promised land.
