Creation ex nihilo
'Created from nothing.' Before God made the universe, there was nothing. As seen in Genesis, only God can make from nothing

'In the image of God.' The belief that human beings are a unique reflection of God's nature. For example, unlike other animals, humans have freewill and understand morality

Inspiration
'God breathed.' The idea that the Holy Spirit guides an individual to write and act what is good and true. The Bible is said to be inspired by the Holy Spirit

Omnipotence
'All powerful.' Seen in Genesis: "God made the heavens and the earth"

Revelation
All the ways in which God makes Himself known to humans e.g. through the Bible and finally through Jesus

Stewardship
Duty to care for creation responsibly rather than use it as consumers as we should preserve it for future generations. Genesis 2: "God put man in the garden to work it and take care of it."

Transcendence
'Above and beyond space and time.' God is unlike anything He made

Conscience
Knowledge over right and wrong. Christians believe it is the voice of God compelling us to do what is right.

Evil
'Privation of good.' Selfish desires lead to suffering

Free will
Ability to make any decision, whether they are morally right or wrong, with zero control from external forces

Goodness
The act of being like God and seeking the wellbeing of others selflessly

Incarnation
'Made flesh.' God came to earth and was made flesh through Jesus, who is fully human but fully divine

Natural Law
Universal moral laws that exist for any human at any place and time. Thought up by St. Thomas Aquinas where he thought it was made by God. The Basic Goods- POWER
However freewill exists so we don't have to follow them.

Privation
The absence of something normally present. For example, evil is a privation of good.

Suffering
Pain or loss which harms human beings. Can be caused by moral evil or natural evil

A document by Pope John Paul II - we should bear suffering and spread hope "For in suffering is contained the greatness of a specific mystery."

A carved or cast figure of a person or animal etc.
Protestants are iconoclasts. Supported by Exodus 20:2 "Have no other gods before me"

Catholics use them as a prayer aid and focus supported by Council of Trent 1545 - 1563
