Practical applications: behaviourist
Systematic desensitisation which works by counter-conditioning to un-learn faulty learning (phobias). McGrath suggested that it has a 75% success rate.
6 of 21
Practical applications: cognitive?
CBT works by changing negative/distorted thoughts into positive/rational thinking. 90% success rate.

No control over internal processing of the mind, e.g. Bartlett's war of the ghosts study, ops had no control over changing words to fit in with schemas.
15 of 21
