Outline the first basic procedure of study 1 in Rosenhan.
PP called the hospital complaining of hearing voices such as empty, hollow and thud. These were chosen as they're existential crisis symptons which aren't in the DSM. They all give false names and jobs. They all 8 admitted, 7 with schizo, 1 bipolar

Outline the second basic procedure of study 1 in Rosenhan
After inside they acted sane again, they spoke to staff and patients and took part in ward activities apart from medication, which they got rid of. They took notes, and asked staff when will they be discharged which was then compared to a student.

Staff of a teaching and research hospital were false informed that during three months they would receive pseudo patients. They were asted to rater on a 10 point scale the likelihood of each patient that wants admitted being a pseudo patient.
