1. Cane victim received spontaneous help on 62/65 trials whilst Drunk victim received spontaneous help on 19/38 trials. 2. 90% of the helpers were male, whilst 64% of the helpers were white. 3. 60% of the trials saw multiple good Samaritans.

What was the conclusion of Piliavin's study?
Piliavin developed a model called the Arousal: Cost-Reward Model. An emotional arousal is created. In this study the majority of people would help as they can't leave the train.

Why is this study low in ecological validity?
Because it only tells us about Diffusion of Responsibility in a confined space.
