What is the Sensory Buffer Store (SBS)?
Information from the environment (from the 5 senses) first passes through the sensory store, which is a passive filter. The information which is most important at the time is transferred to STM.

What is STM according to the MSM?
Information can be kept in STM for an increased amount of time through rehearsal. Information which is not rehearsed is forgotten through trace decay or displacement. Info is transferred to LTM through rehearsal.

What is LTM according to the MSM?
LTM holds a lot of information indefinitely.
