Why can't we conduct an experiment into the social factors that may cause criminality?
Because in the experiment they could make someone into a criminal and this could cause harm to other people and would not be ethical for the person being made into a criminal as they would get into trouble if they did something illegal.
3 of 6
What could be an issue with social research into criminality if we question parents and family about a criminal?

If there is a link between the family and criminal behaviour it could be used to blame parents for their children's behaviour. Results for these studies should be treated with care and not used to hold parents responsible for their children's actions
