What is schizophrenia?
Severe mental illness were contact with reality is impaired. This is an example of psychosis.

Appear to be an excess or distortion of normal functions

What is a hallucination?
Hallucinations are sensory experiences. Can be related to events in the environment (also have no relationship with enviro). eg hearing voices/see distorted facial expressions of people etc

What are delusions?
Irrational beliefs. EG delusion of persecution = belief that others want to harm, threaten or manipulate you

What is speech disorganisation
Incoherent speech = not making sense OR hyperextension of speech (talking really fast)
